A Message from the Heart

WoodScript artist, Bill T. Beedle with his wife, Kelly, and their four children reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bill has been refining his techniques with wood for nearly thirty years. He has been an educator of industrial arts for thirteen years.

Together, Bill and Kelly are co-owners of BNK Industries / WoodScript.

I wanted to give my father-in-law a shadow box, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday, that would commemorate his service to our country as a soldier and former prisoner of war. I began looking in stores and at military bases for an appropriate box and was disenchanted with the stock boxes I found available.
I discovered that Bill Beedle was establishing a wood working business and commissioned him to design and construct a shadow box for Dad. He listened to my ideas and went to work. The result was a magnificent box and unique display of Dad's military awards and decorations that far exceeded any of my expectations.
Outstanding design, superb workmanship, and the finest of woods combined to make a gift that will be treasured by Dad and our family for generations to come. Bill even noted that Dad received the Purple Heart Award for being wounded in battle and incorporated a special "Purple Heart" wood into the design of the box.

I've seen a few shadow boxes and this is by far the most elegant. The personalized plaque with cut out and raised letters made this gift truly special and rare. The workmanship is exquisite. Bill Beedle worked with us to design exactly the work of art we wanted, and he did a spectacular job of it.  He thought of details that we wouldn’t have known to specify, and the result is breathtaking.  In the process of doing the work, an unexpected problem came up that incurred a much higher cost than we had anticipated.  We were prepared to cover the difference between what we had planned for and what the actual cost turned out to be, but Bill insisted on taking the financial responsibility and paying for the difference. 
The work Bill has already done for us is a primary focal point in our house.  We are blessed every time we look at it.  We hope to have Bill do some more custom work for us as his schedule permits.
